At its core lies the concept of nigredo, a black and primordial matter understood as the unconscious principle of transformation. Nun refers to the primordial ocean of Egyptian mythology and, by analogy, the plunge into the unconscious according to Jungian theory. This piece explores the tension between the sacred and the profane, ritualising the living space through the gesture of ablution.
